Rivvrs Picks Three Can’t-Miss Acts at BottleRock

What to see at Napa Valley’s biggest fest.

San Francisco–raised indie act Rivvrs describes his sophomore album, Cosmic Dream, as a “breakup” with his adoptive Los Angeles. But the singer-songwriter will be rebounding at home this month playing the main stage at BottleRock Napa Valley, where his goal is to smoke weed with Snoop Dogg. We asked him for the rest of his festival itinerary. MAY 25–27

Lake Street Dive
“It’s a really soulful vibe—an Aretha Franklin vibe. The show I saw them at in 2014 was really high-energy, and they didn’t really care that nobody was there. I really admired that.” May 27

Mondo Cozmo
“The new record is definitely alternative Americana. He’s got a lot of synths and samples. A lot of other guys will try and stay away from digitalization—he mixes the two really well.” May 27

Shakey Graves
“He’s got a new album out, Can’t Wake Up. He’s changed his set pretty dynamically. It’s like a full rock band; before, a lot of his appeal was bluesy, kind of roots music.” May 25
